Working as a stylist since 2012,
Shimada has styled for fashion brands, magazines, advertising campaigns, and artists in Japan and internationally.
Since 2015, he has independently published
''CONTACT HIGH ZINE'' on an irregular basis.
Alongside his work as a stylist, he creates installations that connect sculptural objects with sound and electronic equipment. In 2025, he presented SPIRITUAL MACHINE, an installation created in collaboration with Wataru Komachi.
Rooted in punk culture, his practice brings the ideas of DIY and collage into styling, while exploring the deification of 303 culture and the relationship between machines and the human body.
